Suomen Palloliitto Viipurin piiri, commonly referred to as SPL Viipurin piiri or SPL Viipuri, was the governing body for football in the Viipuri area, covering the southern part of Karelia. The organisation was founded in 1924 and based in the city of Viipuri.[1] The association ceased to exist after the end of the Continuation War in 1944, reflecting territory lost to the Soviet Union following the armistice between the Soviet Union and Finland signed in Moscow on 19 September 1944.
